Ingredients

The following ingredients have 16 Servings
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup, or honey
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 1/4 cups rolled oats, certified gluten free
  • 1 1/2 cups dried apples, chopped into 1/2" chunks

Instruction

  • Preheat the oven to 300°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, stir everything together except for the oats and dried apples until well combined. Stir in the oats, making sure to coat them well with the wet mixture. Spread the oats onto the cookie sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, stir in the chopped dried apples, and bake for another 10 - 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let the granola cool completely (it will harden as it cools). Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 weeks or in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
