Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate (1 1/2 cups melted, 1/2 cup reserved)
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2 T. Cocoa Powder
  • 2 cups + 2 Tablespoons Almond Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Place 1 1/2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate and butter in a heat-proof bowl. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals until melted or over a double boiler. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together eggs, egg yolk, and sugar for 4 minutes until light and fluffy. Stir in vanilla.
  • Slowly add chocolate-butter mixture, a little at a time, until completely mixed.
  • Add cocoa powder, almond flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold in remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips. May add more chocolate chips, if so desired.
  • Pour batter into lightly greased 9 x 9 or 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • If baking in a 9 x 9 baking dish, bake for 38 - 46 minutes. If baking in a 9 x 13 pan, bake for 28 - 35 minutes. Use a toothpick close to the edges to check for doneness.
  • Let cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting. After brownies set-up for 30 minutes, may place in freezer for at least 15 minutes to make brownies easier to cut.
  • Brownies freeze well.
