Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 cups apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
- 3 cups blackberries (fresh, or frozen and thawed)
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (or tapioca starch)
- 1/4 cup sweetener (maple syrup, coconut sugar or 0-calorie Monkfruit sweetener)
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 2/3 cup almond flour, (finely ground)
- 1 cup rolled oats (not quick oats)
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Melt the butter and combine the crumble topping ingredients. Set aside.
- Peel the apples, remove the core, slice thinly.
- In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice, cornstarch, sweetener, cinnamon and salt.
- Place the apples in a layer in a baking dish, 9-inch round or 9 x 13 inch oblong.
- Top with blackberries, then sprinkle the crumble topping over the fruit.
- Bake at 375°F. for 30 - 35 minutes.
- Cool slightly and serve warm or cold, plain or with whipped cream, whipped coconut milk, ice cream or caramel sauce.
