Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 cups apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
  • 3 cups blackberries (fresh, or frozen and thawed)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (or tapioca starch)
  • 1/4 cup sweetener (maple syrup, coconut sugar or 0-calorie Monkfruit sweetener)
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • 2/3 cup almond flour, (finely ground)
  • 1 cup rolled oats (not quick oats)
  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar)

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Melt the butter and combine the crumble topping ingredients. Set aside.
  • Peel the apples, remove the core, slice thinly.
  • In a large bowl, toss apples with lemon juice, cornstarch, sweetener, cinnamon and salt.
  • Place the apples in a layer in a baking dish, 9-inch round or 9 x 13 inch oblong.
  • Top with blackberries, then sprinkle the crumble topping over the fruit.
  • Bake at 375°F. for 30 - 35 minutes.
  • Cool slightly and serve warm or cold, plain or with whipped cream, whipped coconut milk, ice cream or caramel sauce.
