The following ingredients have 9 Servings
  • 1/4 cup warm water (105-110 degrees F -- warm but not hot)
  • 1.5 teaspoons instant or active dry yeast (I use instant, but either works in this recipe)
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 cups warm water
  • 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3-3.5 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons lemon zest (from 4 lemons)
  • 1 cup powdered icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
