Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 cups green beans, fresh, cut (approximately)
- 2 cups carrots, peeled and sliced or a bag of baby carrots - (approximately)
- 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 3 tblsp butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt, more or less to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper, more or less to taste
Instruction
- In a large skillet or pot, bring enough salted water to cover your carrots and beans to a boil. I usually add about 1 teaspoon of salt to the water.
- Add carrots and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add beans and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Drain in a colander in your sink and pat dry with a paper towel as best you can.
- In a large skillet add broth and butter.
- Bring to a boil and then decrease your temperature to simmer, medium to medium low. Add beans and carrots and continue simmering for 3 minutes uncovered to reduce the liquid. Stir regularly.
- Add honey or brown sugar, salt and pepper and stir for a minute or so to coat. Serve immediately and enjoy!
