Ingredients

The following ingredients have 24 Servings
  • 125g self-raising flour
  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp caster sugar
  • 60g butter
  • 90g golden syrup

Instruction

  • Grease 2 baking trays and preheat oven to 190C.
  • Sift flour, bicarbonate of soda, ginger, cinnamon and sugar. Melt butter and stir in the syrup, then stir in the dry ingredients and mix well.
  • Roll into small balls, place well apart on the trays and flatten slightly.
  • Bake in centre of oven for about 15 minutes.
  • Cool for a few minutes before lifting carefully on to a wire rack.
