Ingredients
The following ingredients have 10 Servings
- 2 2/3 C flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3 tsp ground ginger
- 3 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp all spice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 C unsalted sweet cream butter (softened)
- 1 C light brown sugar (packed)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 C molasses
- 1 C hot water
- 1 C powder sugar
- 2 tbsp whole milk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- spray loaf pan with pam spray and set aside
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, all spice and salt
- Use a whisk and mix until combined
- In a standing mixer, beat the butter and brown sugar until combined
- Mix in the eggs and vanilla until combined
- In a medium bowl, combine the hot water and molasses and mix until combined.
- Pour molasses mix into the wet ingredients in the standing mixer and mix until combined
- gradually pour in the dry ingredients into the mixer and continue to mix until combined
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake in the oven for 60 minuets or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Place onto a wire rack to cool to room temperature about 45 minuets
- In a medium bowl, combine the powder sugar, milk and tsp cinnamon and whisk until combined
- Take loaf out of loaf baking dish
- Pour then cinnamon glaze over the loaf and let harden for 10 minuets before cutting.
