Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 ounces gin ((1/4 cup))
- 8-12 basil leaves
- ½ ounce fresh lemon juice ((1 Tablespoon))
- ¼ ounce simple syrup ((1/2 Tablespoon))
- ice
Instruction
- Put the basil and lemon juice in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Use a muddler to press and squeeze the basil to extract the oils and flavor.Make sure you press it really well to get as much flavor out of it as possible!
- Add the gin, simple syrup, and scoop of ice.
- Cover and shake the shaker until the shaker is very cold, about 30 seconds.
- Strain into a glass filled with ice. Use a fine mesh strainer if desired to avoid any small pieces of basil getting out.
- Garnish with basil and lemon wedges or circles as desired and serve.
