- 12 ounces thick-cut bacon, (cut into 1/2-inch strips)
- ½ large yellow onion, (minced)
- 3 cloves garlic, (minced)
- ½ cup low sodium chicken broth
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 ½ tablespoon whole grain, coarse or stoneground mustard
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ tsp EACH salt, paprika
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh herbs: parsley, dill and/or chives
