Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (Sugars, brown)
- 3 TBS Hoisin sauce
- 3 TBS Rice Vinegar
- 3 TBS ketchup
- 2 TBS lower sodium soy sauce
- 1 TBS cornstarch
- 1 TBS Sesame oil
- 1 inch knob fresh ginger, (minced)
- 1 TBS garlic
- 2 lbs peeled, tail off, devained large shrimp ((about 40-50 shrimp))
- 2 stalks green onions, (chopped)
- 1 TBS sesame seeds
Instruction
- In a small bowl add water, red pepper flakes, brown sugar, hoisin, rice vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce, and cornstarch; whisk to combine.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add sesame oil and heat for 30 seconds. Add garlic and ginger and saute for 1 minute stirring constantly. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes.
- Whisk sauce again, then pour into skillet. Turn heat to high, and stir through the shrimp. Allow sauce to come to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer. Cook 2-3 more minutes until sauce is thickened and shrimp are cooked through.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve immediately.
