- 2-3 garlic cloves
- 2 medium onion
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup whisked yogurt (at room temperature)
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1.25 teaspoon coriander powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried mango powder [amchur]
- 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
- 1 teaspoon kasuri methi (crushed [dried fenugreek leaves])
