Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1.5 pounds baby yellow potatoes, or potatoes of your choice (washed, cut into 1/2 inch dice)
- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2/3 cup whole milk (half and half works too)
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 5 cracks fresh black pepper
Instruction
- Place potatoes and garlic into a medium size pot. Fill with water, making sure the potatoes are fully submerged with about 3 inches of water on top. Bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Strain potatoes through a fine mesh strainer. Add back to the pot. Add the remaining ingredients and mash to the consistency you want.
