Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 12 ounce(s) fresh green beans - cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 5 clove(s) garlic, minced
  • 2 - 3 tablespoon(s) olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon(s) red pepper flakes
  • salt - & pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon(s) sesame seeds, or to your liking
  • handful - sliced almonds
  • a squeeze - of lemon juice

Instruction

  • Place a pot of water on stove and bring to a boil. Add about 1 tsp salt to the water.
  • Snap bean ends and cut either in half or 2 inch pieces.
  • Once water is boiling, add the beans and cook no longer than 3 minutes, you want them to be crisp tender. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  • Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and pepper flakes. Stir frequently and saute for roughly 2 minutes.
  • Add the beans and toss to coat with garlic. Salt and pepper and saute just long enough to heat through. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and almond...Give them a squeeze of lemon, stir and serve immediately.
