Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 loaf French bread
- 1/4 cup butter (room temperature )
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1-1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (I usually use the Mexican blend)
Instruction
- Preheat a large griddle to 350°.
- Combine the butter and garlic powder.
- Slice the French bread in half lengthwise. Butter each side of the French bread with the garlic butter.
- Lightly spray the griddle with non-stick spray.
- Sprinkle the cheese onto the griddle, covering the area where the French bread will be.
- Once the cheese has melted, lay the French bread onto the cheese. Buttered side down.
- After a couple of minutes, use your hand and push the bread back and forth a bit to 'gather' the excess cheese. The cheese will stick to the bread now as apposed to the griddle.
- Let cook for an additional 5 or so minutes, checking every once in a while until the cheese is nice and crispy.
- Remove from griddle, slice and serve!
