Ingredients
The following ingredients have 9 Servings
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, smashed or diced
- 2 cups baking mix
- 1 cup shredded sharp or extra sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup buttermilk, more or less
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- Add the butter and garlic to a small saucepan and heat together until the butter is melted. Cook and stir for about 2 minutes, or until garlic is softened and tender, but do not brown.
- Remove from heat, strain out garlic if desired, or remove and finely mince. Set infused butter aside.
- Stir together the baking mix and cheese.
- Add half the buttermilk, stir and add additional buttermilk as needed, just until flour pulls away from bowl and a soft dough forms.
- Use an ice cream scoop, or about 1/8 cup measure, to drop dough onto a silpat or parchment covered cookie sheet.
- Spoon some of the infused butter over each biscuit, reserving some for when the biscuits come out of the oven.
- Bake at 450 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes, or until tops begin to lightly brown. Remove from oven and immediately spoon remaining butter over warm biscuits.
