Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 1 Tablespoon of ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/3 cup of molasses
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • White Frosting (storebought or homemade)
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instruction

  • In a medium size bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda and salt together.
  • In a large bowl, beat together the butter, sugar and molasses until smooth.
  • Add the buttermilk.
  • Slowly add the dry ingredients a little at a time until combined.
  • On a piece of plastic wrap or waxed paper, roll the dough flat and wrap the dough. Refrigerate for at least 10 hours.
