Ingredients
The following ingredients have 2 Servings
- 4 ounces 120 grams brie, sliced crosswise (I got 4 slices)
- 1/2 cup flour seasoned with salt (pepper and smoky paprika)
- 1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water
- 1 cup breadcrumbs mixed with crushed dried parsley
- oil for frying
- tomato marmalade
- orange slices for garnish
Instruction
- Dredge the sliced cheese in flour, then egg wash, the generously coat with bread crumbs. Transfer to a tray and let stand for a few minutes while the oil is heating.
- Cover the bottom of a medium skillet with 1/4" of oil and heat until the surface shimmers.
- Carefully arrange the cheese in the pan and fry about 3 minutes per side, taking care when turning. The breading should be golden brown and the cheese will be soft but still retain its shape.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve with tomato marmalade served on top of the orange slices.
