Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 single-crust pie shell (baked and cooled (or a premade graham crust))
  • 2 pints strawberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 oz strawberry jello
  • 1 cup water
  • whipped cream (for serving)

Instruction

  • Wash strawberries, pat dry. Cut in half lengthwise and place in a bowl.
  • Combine cornstarch, strawberry jello, sugar and water in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil and simmer until thickened. Let cool until just about room temperature, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Pour the jello mixture over the berries and toss well to combine. Quickly place into the prepared pie crust.
  • Refrigerate until set, about 3 hours or overnight.
  • Serve with whipped cream.
