Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 single-crust pie shell (baked and cooled (or a premade graham crust))
- 2 pints strawberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 3 oz strawberry jello
- 1 cup water
- whipped cream (for serving)
Instruction
- Wash strawberries, pat dry. Cut in half lengthwise and place in a bowl.
- Combine cornstarch, strawberry jello, sugar and water in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil and simmer until thickened. Let cool until just about room temperature, about 15-20 minutes.
- Pour the jello mixture over the berries and toss well to combine. Quickly place into the prepared pie crust.
- Refrigerate until set, about 3 hours or overnight.
- Serve with whipped cream.
