Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 cup of white sugar
  • 1/2 cup of butter or 8 tablespoons or one stick (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup of sour cream
  • 1/2 cup of buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups shredded and peeled pears
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of allspice
  • 1 cup of chopped pecans

Instruction

  • Whisk together the flour, salt and baking soda in a large bowl. Add sugar, melted butter, vanilla, sour cream, buttermilk and eggs. Mix well with spoon. Add in shredded pears. Spray a 9X5 bread pan with cooking spray and add the batter.
  • Mix swirl ingredients together with a spoon and spread over batter. Take a knife and swirl in to the bread batter.
  • Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 65-70 minutes, testing to make sure that bread is done in center. Cool for 10-15 min and remove from pan.
