Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 pound fresh cherries (about 3 cups) (,stems removed and pitted*)
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch**
  • 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier or brandy

Instruction

  • Heat cherries, sugar, lemon juice, fine sea salt and cornstarch in a heavy bottom sauce pan over medium heat.
  • Continue to simmer and stir until sauce starts to thicken and becomes sticky, approximately 15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • If adding liquor, stir in now.
