Ingredients
The following ingredients have 2 Servings
- 2 tbsp butter for cooking french toast sticks
- 4 slices thick texas toast (day old, sliced vertically into 4 strips )
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
Instruction
- Add eggs, milk, vanilla and 1/4 tsp cinnamon to a medium bowl. Whisk to combine. Set aside.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add in butter and cook until melted.
- Dip bread into the egg mixture and allow any excess to drip off. Add to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
- In another medium bowl combine brown sugar, granulated sugar and 1/4 tsp cinnamon. Stir to combine. Set aside.
- Immediately after cooking add the french toast sticks to the cinnamon and sugar mixture and toss to coat.Serve immediately with maple syrup and enjoy!
