Ingredients

The following ingredients have 2 Servings
  • 2 tbsp butter for cooking french toast sticks
  • 4 slices thick texas toast (day old, sliced vertically into 4 strips )
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Instruction

  • Add eggs, milk, vanilla and 1/4 tsp cinnamon to a medium bowl. Whisk to combine. Set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add in butter and cook until melted.
  • Dip bread into the egg mixture and allow any excess to drip off. Add to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • In another medium bowl combine brown sugar, granulated sugar and 1/4 tsp cinnamon. Stir to combine. Set aside.
  • Immediately after cooking add the french toast sticks to the cinnamon and sugar mixture and toss to coat.Serve immediately with maple syrup and enjoy!
