Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 loaf hearty white bread
- 4 eggs; beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp sugar
- Pinch of salt
- Butter/oil/cooking spray
- Strawberry coulis
Instruction
- Heat a griddle to medium a medium heat. Once heated, apply a bit of butter, oil, or cooking spray.
- While the griddle is heating up, beat the eggs and milk together. Add the vanilla, nutmeg, sugar, and salt. Whisk all the ingredients together.
- Dip a slice of bread in the egg mixture, allowing the bread to thoroughly soak up the liquid. Flip and repeat.
- Place the bread on the heated and greased griddle.
- Leave it for about three minutes or until cooked on that side.
- Flip and allow them to finish cooking, about two minutes.
- Time is based on my griddle heat and temperature.
- Adjust for your own appliance, as each is different.
- Plate the French toast and top as desired.
- Butter, strawberry coulis, and powdered sugar is sure delicious!
