Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 cup basmati rice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 5 (pods) cardamom
  • 5 whole cloves
  • 2 tsp chicken stock powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tbs oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp saffron threads

Instruction

  • Wash rice until water runs clear.
  • In a ceramic dish add rice and all the other ingredients. Combine until the rice is coated and yellow.
  • For every cup of rice add 1½ cups of water.
  • Cook rice in microwave for 10 minutes or until cooked.
  • Once rice is cooked, remove cardamom pods, cloves, bay leaf and cinnamon quill.
  • Serve with curry of choice.
