Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 pound boneless salmon filet
  • 4 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice or white wine vinegar
  • A couple shakes of hot sauce
  • 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce
  • Black or regular sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 425 and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Place the salmon filet on the baking sheet and tuck the thin end underneath so it is all the same width. Baste with 1 tablespoon sesame oil and roast for 15 minutes.
  • Meantime, cook pasta according to package directions. Save 2 tablespoons of pasta water and drain.
  • Put remaining sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, vegetable oil, vinegar, hot sauce and pasta water in a bowl and whisk together. Add hot pasta and toss gently with tongs until coated with the sauce.
  • Using two forks, gently pull the salmon into flakes.
  • Divide pasta among plates and top with salmon flakes and lettuce. If you have them, sprinkle some sesame seeds on top. Drizzle with a little of the pasta sauce and serve.
