Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 2 slices white bread
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 2 slices muenster cheese (I like my slices a little thicker than normal)
- 3 dried mission figs
- 2 strips bacon (cut in half)
Instruction
- Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the bacon until crispy, flipping once. Remove to a paper towel lined plate to cool. Drain bacon fat from skillet.
- Thinly slice the figs, and set them aside.
- Spread 1/2 tablespoon butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one bread slice, butter side down, in the same skillet you used to cook the bacon. Top bread with a slice of muenster cheese, then sliced figs, then the bacon strips, and finally another slice of cheese. Place second bread slice on top of the filling, butter side up.
- Cook the sandwich for 3 to 4 minutes per side over medium heat, until cheese has melted and bread is golden brown on either side. Serve warm.
