Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 jicama, peeled and chopped into 1/4" matchsticks ((1 large or 2-3 small jicama))
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 2 tsp nutritional yeast
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
Instruction
- Place about 4 cups of water in a large stock pot and bring to a boil.
- While water is heating up, carefully peel jicama using a pairing knife and chop into 1/4" matchsticks. Once boiling, add jicama fries to pot, cover and boil for 10 minutes.
- Make seasoning mix by combining dry seasonings in a small bowl or ramekin. Set aside.
- Once the jicama has boiled for 10 minutes, remove the pot from heat and drain the water through a strainer. Allow the jicama to air dry for a few minutes.
- Place the jicama in a bowl and drizzle with avocado oil and toss to coat. Sprinkle on the seasoning mixture and toss to coat again. Spread out on baking sheet in a single layer and place in the oven.
