Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 8 cups oats
  • 2 cups sliced almonds
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup craisins or raisins
  • 3/4 cup canola oil or coconut oil
  • 1 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons vanilla

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 300-degrees. Combine first 6 ingredients (dry ingredients) in a large bowl.
  • Combine oil, honey, and vanilla in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Let boil for 1 minute.
  • Pour the honey mixture over the oat mixture. Mix until all ingredients are moistened.
  • Divide and spread mixture over 2 large cookie sheets and bake for 20-30 minutes. Remove from oven. Use a spatula to stir the granola on the pan. Allow to cool for 15 minutes.
  • For chewy granola: While the granola is still slightly warm and soft, transfer to an airtight container or bag it in large resealable plastic bags.For crunchy granola: Allow granola to cool completely. Break up granola and transfer it to an airtight container or bag it in large resealable plastic bags.
  • Serve plain, with yogurt, or with milk.
