Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- ¾ Cup Oreo Biscuit (Broken)
- 1 Cup Maida / All purpose Flour
- ¾ Cup Sugar
- ⅓ Cup Cocoa Powder
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 2 Pinch Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
- ½ Cup Curd
- ½ Cup Butter
Instruction
- Measure the flour, sugar and keep by side. Flour can be replaced with atta but the brownie will be relatively dense. Also, white sugar can be substituted with brown sugar or cane sugar, but the brownie will be more darker.
- Use good quality cocoa powder, as it will impact the whole taste and colour of these brownies.
- Ensure the curd is at room temperature and fresh, not sour. Also, use fresh, soft butter at room temperature. Never use old rancid butter, as it loses the sweetness and the bitter taste will be felt in the final brownie.
- Break the oreo biscuits roughly and keep by side.
- Sift the flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder.
- Sifting all the dry ingredients is a must for even mixing and to get lump free brownies.
- To a mixing bowl, add the sugar and butter.
- Pour the curd and whisk it gently, till the sugar granules dissolve completely.
- Now, add the vanilla essence.
- Add the sifted dry ingredients slowly to the curd – butter mixture.
- Fold it gently with a ladle/spatula and ensure there are no lumps. Don’t over whisk else the brownie turns hard.
- Finally, add the broken oreo biscuits and fold again. In the meantime, preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 180c / 350F.
- Then, brush a baking tray (Tin Size – 6″) with oil and dust little flour all over or line it with butter paper. Transfer the batter to the baking tray, then level it with a ladle/spatula slightly. Gently tap the tray twice, for the air bubbles to release.
- Top up with few more broken oreo biscuits.
- Place the tray in the oven and bake it for 35 to 40 minutes at 180c or till a toothpick inserted in the center of the brownie comes out clean.Enjoy these Oreo Fudge Brownies with vanilla icecream.
