Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cup 1% low-fat milk
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon ground white pepper
- pinch dried thyme
- pinch ground nutmeg
Instruction
- Place a medium sized saucepan over low heat.
- In the saucepan, add butter to melt.
- Whisk in flour.
- Whisk in milk a little at a time, whisking constantly.
- When mixture is smooth, add salt, ground white pepper, nutmeg, and thyme. Stir to mix well.
- Reduce heat to low, and simmer whisking continuously, approximately 10 minutes or until until thickened.
