Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 cup cashews, soaked for three hours, drained
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- ½ cup nutritional yeast
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 chipotle pepper in adobo
- 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
Instruction
- In the base of a food processor or high powered blender, combine the cashews, tomato paste, nutritional yeast, paprika, chili powder, chipotle pepper, lemon juice, garlic and salt along with ¾ cup water
- Process until smooth
- Add more water 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is achieved
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.Note: Makes about 2 cups
