Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • 2.5 pounds fresh cherry or grape tomatoes ((about 1.1 Kilograms))
  • 3 small sweet onions (sliced)
  • 10 large basil leaves (sliced into ribbons)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves (crushed, optional)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instruction

  • Slice the tomatoes in half and place them in a bowl.
  • Add the sliced onions, basil, olive oil, vinegar and garlic (optional). Add a pinch or two each of sea salt and black pepper.
  • Toss well and add more salt and pepper if desired.
