The following ingredients have 22 Servings
- 2 pound(s) ground beef, lean
- 4 cup(s) green bell peppers, diced or sliced
- 3 cup(s) bell peppers, red, yellow and orange, diced (1 of each color)
- 2 bag(s) uncle ben's whole grain medley, brown & wild rice
- 2 can(s) italian sauce, 28 oz. each
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 box(es) beef broth, 32 oz.
- 3 cup(s) water
- 1 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
- 2 teaspoon(s) oregano, dried
- 1 tablespoon(s) italian seasoning
- 2 teaspoon(s) black pepper
- - salt to taste
Instruction
- Fry up your beef & sauté onions at the same time then drain off grease and place in a large soup pot.
- Dice or slice up all your peppers and place in the soup pot.
- Add your sauce and beef broth.
- Add the already cooked rice to the pot also. It is a rice for the microwave but perfect to use in a soup that you want to fix up quickly.
- Cook for 45 minutes to an hour on the stovetop over medium heat until peppers are tender. I stirred it occasionally and covered the pot while it cooked.
- Serve up with some yummy biscuits, garlic bread or your favorite crackers.
