Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 kg = 2 lbs White/Button/Portobello mushrooms (the bigger the better)
- 2 onions
- 300 g = 10 oz bacon
- 200 g = 7 oz cheese
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- parsley optional
Instruction
- Peel off mushrooms, remove the stalks and keep all in cold water
- Cut bacon into small cubes
- Grate cheese
- Cut onions into small cubes
- Crush garlic cloves
- Cook bacon, mushrooms stalks and onions in oil for a couple of minutes
- Remove from stove and add garlic
- Layer the mushrooms on a baking tray
- Stuff the mushrooms with the bacon composition above
- Sprinkle grated cheese (be careful not to sprinkle outside the edges as they'll burn in the oven)
- Cook in the oven for 20 min at 180 C = 350 F
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chopped parsley (optional)
