Ingredients
The following ingredients have 9 Servings
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium yellow onion (chopped)
- 1 medium green or red bell pepper (chopped)
- 2 garlic cloves. minced
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 28- ounce can diced tomatoes
- 2 8- ounce cans tomato sauce
- 2 15- ounce cans kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
- 1 15 ounce can pinto beans (drained and rinsed)
- 1/4 cup coarsely chopped pickled jalapenos or green chilies (drained)

Instruction
- Add 2 tablespoons olive oil to a large skillet. Cook onions and peppers until softened.
- Add the minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break up and cook stirringly occasionally until cooked through.
- Transfer to a slow cooker. Add in all the remaining ingredients.
- Serve in individual bowls topped with the cheese, green onions or chives, and sour cream.
