Ingredients
The following ingredients have 6 Servings
- 3 tablespoons [tamari sauce]
- 3 tablespoons [tomato paste]
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
- 2 cloves crushed garlic
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
- 2 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 3- pound boneless pork shoulder (or rib end)
- Sesame seeds for sprinkling
Instruction
- Combine the tamari sauce, rice wine vinegar, tomato paste, garlic, ginger, syrup and sesame oil in a glass or ceramic bowl.
- Add the pork to the bowl and toss making sure all sides are covered with the marinade. Place the bowl in the refrigerator and marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight
- Remove the meat from the bowl and add it to the slow cooker; pour the marinade over the top.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook the pork in the marinade on low for 5 hours.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
- Add the meat back to the slow cooker and toss it in the sauce and serve.
