Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 pound raw shrimp (21-25 size, peeled, deveined and thawed)
- 8 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti or linguini)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
- 1 medium carrot (shredded)
- 3 cups cabbage and celery slices
- 1 tsp Asian sesame oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
Instruction
- Thaw your shrimp if they are still frozen and get vegetables ready.
- Prepare the noodles according to the package directions.
- In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar and ginger. Set aside.
- Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
- Add minced garlic, sliced carrots, cabbage and celery to the pan. Stir fry for about 5 minutes until almost tender.
- Add in the shrimp and stir fry another 2-3 minutes until they just turn pink.
- Drain the noodles and add to the shrimp/vegetable mixture.
- Toss together with the reserved sauce and finally the Asian sesame oil. Serve and enjoy!
