- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
- ½ tablespoon corn starch
- 1 small egg (or 1 large egg yolk)
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon warm water
- 2 teaspoons sugar (or honey or brown sugar)
- ½ teaspoon Chinese black vinegar (or balsamic vinegar)
- 1 tablespoon green onion or chives (chopped)
- 1 package gyoza wrappers ((you'll need about 30-35 pieces))
- Asian-style chili oil (or fresh chilies)
