  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons light soy sauce
  • ½ tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 small egg (or 1 large egg yolk)
  • 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon warm water
  • 2 teaspoons sugar (or honey or brown sugar)
  • ½ teaspoon Chinese black vinegar (or balsamic vinegar)
  • 1 tablespoon green onion or chives (chopped)
  • 1 package gyoza wrappers ((you'll need about 30-35 pieces))
  • Asian-style chili oil (or fresh chilies)
