Ingredients

The following ingredients have 12 Servings
  • 12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 24 oz white chocolate chips
  • 4 tsp peppermint extract
  • 4 tsp coconut oil (melted)
  • 3 candy canes (crushed into small pieces)
  • about 20 mini pretzels (unbroken)
  • 18 " of wax paper

Instruction

  • In a 1 qt microwave safe bowl, add 1 tsp of melted coconut oil to chocolate chips. Put bowl in microwave on high power for 45 seconds. Stir chocolate until smooth. Add 10-15 more seconds if needed.
  • Line a small baking sheet with wax paper. Spread melted semi-sweet chocolate evenly onto wax paper. Top with mini pretzels spaced about a half inch apart in as many rows as you can fit (about4-5.) Place baking sheet with chocolate into the freezer for 10-15 min to harden chocolate.
  • In the meantime, in a 1 qt microwave safe bowl, add 2 tsp of melted coconut oil to white chocolate chips. Put bowl in microwave on high power for 45 seconds. Stir chocolate until smooth. Add 10-15 more seconds if needed. It's best to melt white chocolate in intervals as white chocolate can burn more easily. Refer to package instructions on how to melt white chocolate chips. Melted coconut oil helps obtain the desired melted consistency of white chocolate. If you are having trouble melting the chocolate, add a little more melted coconut oil.
  • Stir in peppermint extract into melted white chocolate.
  • Spread melted white chocolate evenly on top of cooled chocolate that is on baking sheet.
  • Top with crushed candy canes.
