Ingredients
The following ingredients have 6 Servings
- 6 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 TBSP extra virgin olive oil
- 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 28 oz diced tomatoes (see note)
- 2 tsps sugar
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1/8 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- pepper to taste
Instruction
- Heat the olive oil in a large sauce pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté just until it becomes fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Add in the crushed and diced tomatoes. Stir in the sugar, salt, oregano, parsley, basil, and crushed red pepper flakes. Add pepper to taste.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook on low for about 15 minutes or until the sauce is thickens, stirring intermittently.
- Use immediately or stor in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 days.
