Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 lb ground beef 90% lean
  • 1/2 onion finely grated
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/3 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ½ tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 ½ tsp italian seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp ketchup
  • 1 ½ tsp whole milk
  • 2 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp oil to sautee
  • 1/2 medium yellow onion chopped
  • 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup water
  • ½ tsp worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp ketchup
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp ground black pepper

Instruction

  • In a bowl combine the ingredients for the Salisbury steak. Mix until well combined and shape into 4 even sized patties, either round or oval.
  • In a skillet, heat 1 Tbsp oil, once hot, add the steak patties to the skillet and cook until the patties are fully cooked. Remove patties and cover to keep warm.
  • Finely chop the onion, saute the onion in a skillet with oil. Once the onions are tender, add the minced garlic and butter, cook until garlic is fragrant.
  • Peel and slice the mushrooms. Add to the skillet and saute until mushrooms are browned. Light season with salt and pepper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, broth, water, Worcestershire, dijon mustard, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Add the gravy mixture to the mushrooms and cook until gravy thickens.
  • Place the patties back to the pan and cover with the mushroom gravy and cook until the patties are warm.
  • Enjoy.
