Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 lb ground beef 90% lean
- 1/2 onion finely grated
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/3 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1 ½ tsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 ½ tsp italian seasoning
- 1 Tbsp ketchup
- 1 ½ tsp whole milk
- 2 tsp dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp oil to sautee
- 1/2 medium yellow onion chopped
- 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 8 oz mushrooms sliced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup water
- ½ tsp worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp dijon mustard
- 2 tsp ketchup
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp ground black pepper
Instruction
- In a bowl combine the ingredients for the Salisbury steak. Mix until well combined and shape into 4 even sized patties, either round or oval.
- In a skillet, heat 1 Tbsp oil, once hot, add the steak patties to the skillet and cook until the patties are fully cooked. Remove patties and cover to keep warm.
- Finely chop the onion, saute the onion in a skillet with oil. Once the onions are tender, add the minced garlic and butter, cook until garlic is fragrant.
- Peel and slice the mushrooms. Add to the skillet and saute until mushrooms are browned. Light season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, broth, water, Worcestershire, dijon mustard, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Add the gravy mixture to the mushrooms and cook until gravy thickens.
- Place the patties back to the pan and cover with the mushroom gravy and cook until the patties are warm.
