Ingredients
The following ingredients have 3 Servings
- 2 lbs. of red apples
- 1/4 cup water
- cinnamon or apple pie spice (to taste)
- 4-6 tbsp. honey
Instruction
- Clean the apples.
- Remove the core and peel the apples.
- Cut the apples into large chunks and throw toss them in a pot on the stove.
- Add the water and bring to a boil over medium-high heart.
- Add the spice or if making compote, the honey.
- Cover and cook for about 10-20 minutes stirring frequently.
- Remove from stove.
- If making apple sauce allow to cool.
- When it is cool, blend in a blender until desired constancy.
- Transfer to mason jars and store in the fridge for up to a week. (ours would not have lasted that long!)
