Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 (3 ounce) box strawberry instant Jello
  • 8-9 ounces fresh strawberries or 1 1/2 cups blended or crushed ((weight after trimming off tops))
  • 4 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup canola or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 2 ounces freeze-dried strawberries, crushed in food processor
  • 5-6 cups powdered sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk or cream to thin the frosting if needed
  • additional fresh strawberries for garnish
