Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or add to taste)
  • 2 tsp sea salt (optional, for salted caramel version)

Instruction

  • Melt the butter in a small heavy bottom sauce pan. 
  • Add the brown sugar; whisk for two minutes. 
  • Add the cream; whisk for another two minutes.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract and sea salt, if making salted caramel
  • Pour into a container and refrigerate.
