Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg white
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 pound pecan halves
Instruction
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
- Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a small bowl mix white and brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the egg white and water until frothy. Toss pecans in the egg white mixture.
- Add the sugar mixture into the pecan mixture and stir until pecans are evenly coated.
- Spread coated pecans into one layer onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes, until pecans are evenly browned.
- Remove from the oven and let the pecans cool on the baking sheet before storing or serving.
