Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 pound pecan halves

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
  • Cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a small bowl mix white and brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the egg white and water until frothy. Toss pecans in the egg white mixture.
  • Add the sugar mixture into the pecan mixture and stir until pecans are evenly coated.
  • Spread coated pecans into one layer onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes, until pecans are evenly browned.
  • Remove from the oven and let the pecans cool on the baking sheet before storing or serving.
