Ingredients
The following ingredients have 6 Servings
- 2 lbs beef stewing meat
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 6 medium potatoes (peeled and cubed)
- 2 yellow onions (rough chopped)
- 3 carrots (peeled and cut into chunks)
- 2 turnips (peeled and cubed)
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 200 ml can diced tomatoes ((7 oz))
- 1 can condensed tomato soup
- 1 284 ml jar Patak's Vindaloo curry paste (use 1/2 the jar if you want less heat)
- 2 cups water
Instruction
- Heat the oil in a large skillet and brown the beef over high heat. Do not crowd the beef. Brown in batches if necessary.
- Add all the stew ingredients to the slow cooker except the peas.
- Mix all the sauce ingredients and pour over the stew.
- Cook on low heat 7-8 hours. Add the peas 1 hour before serving.
- Serve over rice if desired to reduce the spiciness.
