Ingredients
The following ingredients have 8 Servings
- 1 1/2 cups (195gr) flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 3/4 cup (180gr) dark brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup (150gr) white sugar
- 1/3 cup (90gr) butter, soft
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 3 cups (400gr) peeled, chopped apple (Granny Smith)
- 3/4 cup (75gr) chopped walnuts
Instruction
- Butter and flour a 10″ (25cm) cake or spring-form pan, line bottom with parchment
- Preheat oven to 350F (175C)
- Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt in a bowl, mix well and set aside.
- Cream butter, vanilla and both sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition.
- Add dry ingredients, beating on low until smooth.
- Stir in apples and walnuts by hand.
- Spread mixture into prepared pan.
- Bake, 50 – 55 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean.
- Remove and cool for 20 minutes.
- Remove sides if using a spring-form pan and serve or allow to cool completely.
