Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • 1 - can of pie filling--(we love cherry)
  • 1 - cake mix--(we use yellow)
  • 2 or 3 - pats of butter

Instruction

  • pour the can of pie filling into the dutch oven
  • pour the cake mix on top of the pie filling--do not mix them up
  • place 2 or 3 pats of butter on top
  • sprinkle with cinnamon if you would like
  • Cover the oven--place about 15-20 charcoal briquets on top of the oven and about 8-12 underneath
  • bake for 20 minutes give or take remember to check often so the cake doesn't burn
