Ingredients

The following ingredients have 12 Servings
  • 2/3 cup Bertolli Olive Oil
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 ½ cups gluten-free flour ((or all-purpose flour))
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips ((dairy-free for vegan))
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2, eggs (or flax eggs for vegan)

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, water, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs.
  • In a larger bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa powder.
  • Add the olive oil mixture to the flour mixture, and whisk until smooth.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Prepare an 8” x 8” baking pan by rubbing lightly with olive oil.
  • Pour brownie batter into the baking pan. It should be about 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 22-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the brownies comes out with just a few crumbles of batter.
  • Let the brownies cool. Slice and serve.
