Ingredients
The following ingredients have 1 Servings
- 1 pound onions (peeled and chopped)
 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
 - 1 cup water
 - 1/2 cup ketchup
 - 1/4 cup sauerkraut brine (juice)
 - 4 teaspoons granulated sugar
 - 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
 - 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
 - 1 teaspoon mustard seed
 - 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
 - 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
 - 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
 
Instruction
- Saute the onions until soft, then add the remaining ingredients and simmer over low heat until thick.
 - Serve on hot dogs, as per the style, with mustard and some sauerkraut.
 - Yield one pint (store unused portions in a jar in the fridge, up to one week).
