Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 4 cups carrots (sliced)
  • 3 Tbsp sugar (divided)
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp ginger, minced or garlic if preferred
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)

Instruction

  • In a skillet with a lid, bring ginger or garlic, carrots, salt, 1 tablespoon sugar, and chicken broth to a boil. 
  • Cover and reduce heat to medium and simmer until carrots are starting to become tender, about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally. 
  • Uncover, increase heat to medium high, and boil until liquid is reduced.  About 5 minutes. 
  • Add butter and remaining 2 tablespoons sugar to skillet. Stir constantly and make sure carrots are nicely coated, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat, add lemon juice and combine. Season with more salt and pepper if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy!
